I'm 5'8" slim and bought the Large. Excellent leggings - warm, very stretchy. Particularly liked the long length of the leggings.
Wow, these are comfortable, even with the relatively thin waistband (I really, strongly, horribly detest waistbands that dig in). I get why other reviewers say they're more like tights than outerwear leggings: they're thin and very stretchy, so they have a "barely there" quality that could make one one feel a bit—uh—vulnerable, even though I don't have any "show through" issues with these. But they are marvelous as an underlayer or for home wear. The only problem I have with them is that cat hair really sticks to them! Another good reason to keep them for home.

Have tried many leggings and these are comfortable, feel soft, keep their shape for more than one wear and are good value.
